![]() ![]() ![]() But given the overlap between the two series, it is a bit odd that EA would announce so many games so close to the release of The Sims 3. Given EA's history, especially with The Sims franchise, the announcement of these games is in no way surprising. No word on whether this will connect to the normal version of Spore in any way, though it will include some sort of multiplayer component. NEW SPORE GAME UPGRADEThis appears to be a virtual pet style of game, in which players take care of a specific creature, and then are able to customize and upgrade its surroundings. Description: The Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack includes over 100 new creature building components and animations themed in two distinct styles: cute/cartoon and scary/monster. NEW SPORE GAME PCIn addition to the Nintendo spin-offs, EA will also be releasing a brand-new standalone PC game called Spore Creature Keeper. Both games are expected to be released in the Fall. Details are scarce at this time, but it looks like the games will feature little, if any, of the creation aspects of the PC game. Spore Hero on the Wii and Spore Hero Arena on the DS will be more traditional action-adventure games, only set in the Spore universe. Spore is something of an amalgam, taking ideas and cues not only from The Sims and SimCity, but also from. Kicking things off are a pair of spin-offs due to hit Nintendo systems. The game is his attempt to turn the process of evolution into entertainment. These standalone titles are in addition to the Spore expansion, which is expected to come out this Spring. Like you're not on this forum because you hate the game (I think?) so it seems to be you still have a vested interest in Spore. It looks like Electronic Arts plans to make good on its promise to expand the Spore experience over a number of titles, as the company has recently revealed a trio of new games due for release in 2009. it’s all up to you as you design each and every element of your new lifeform. Not to mention all the people who still have a fancy for Spore. Play with evolution as you create customized creatures and explore incredible new worlds. I mean, the sales for a younger audience alone would be huge since sandbox games that let you create whateever you want are popular that crowd. If a better developer that added more features (multiplayer, more to do in the early stages, etc.) and the same kind of creature editor (if not better) that game would be great. ![]() Why are you being so pessimistic? You're implying that because Spore did not do as well as it could have that its just 100% not possible for a Spore-LIKE to be made again. People love sandbox games and spore's creature editor is un parralled. I guess I should've been more specific in saying Spore-LIKEĪnd no other games that I'm aware of are like spore in the way that you evolve your creature, edit it with parts, edit your vehicles and buildings, and even make your own levels in the same fashion as Spore? I really would like to know your examples.Īnd I guess I should be more specific in saying that a AAA developed Spore-LIKE (or even spore if EA wants to dig it out of the closet) would be high successsful. ![]() None of them have been "highly successful". spore synonyms, spore pronunciation, spore translation, English dictionary definition of spore. That's all the details we have at the moment. If you want a better evolution game, there are already plenty on the market (that actually feature mechanisms of evolution, unlike Spore). Next, Spore makes its debut on the Wii console with Spore Hero, an 'all- new adventure game ' that takes players throught a 'beautiful and colourful world'. "Spore" is the intellectual property of Electronic Arts. Originally posted by Odande:I feel like a modern spore, picked up by a better developer (Rare?) Would be HIGHLY successful. ![]()
